Sentence Generation with Markov Chains
In statistics, a sequence of events can be modelled as a series of transitions from one state to another. One of the many interesting applications of this Markov theory allows for the creation of sentences using primer texts. This shiny tool takes inbound text and transforms it into a matrix of transition probabilities which, given a starting point, can be randomly drawn to create new text. As the forefather of more sophisticated deep learning techniques, this technique provides quality results with much less computational commitment. Play around with the app and see for yourself!
